Hello!

I'm Dr. Ra'ah, Rashiah Elam MD, an Integrative Physician Board Certified in Family Medicine and Addiction Medicine.

Before I could talk, I knew I wanted to be a doctor. I followed an interesting path (with a few detours) to fulfill that dream which led me to training at Cornell University's Medical College and residency New York's Montefiore Hospital residency in Social and Family Medicine.

I've practiced Medicine for the past two decades (!!!) in the NYC metro and Hudson Valley of New York in a variety of clinical settings and roles, including Primary Care, Urgent Care, Mental Health, Inpatient and Acute Care and have been affiliated with Mt. Sinai, Montefiore, Albert Einstein College of Medicine and St John's Riverside Hospitals.

Making heart x head choices rooted in following my vision led me to sub-specialize in the exploding fields of addiction, integrative medicine and virtual/tele- medicine.

I now balance working with some pretty amazing humans here in our hybrid private practice Realm Integrative and as Medical Director at Lexington Center for Recovery, the Hudson Valley's largest Holistic Treatment Program for Substance Use, where I get to practice, learn and fall deeper in love with my life's work one patient encounter & one day at a time.
